Wild Tribe

Our aim
At St Catherine’s school “we strive to educate our children to realise their aspirations and to contribute positively to society by our Christian principles”. We believe outdoor learning allows the pupils to be a positive part of their community. Getting hands-on experience within our environment develops children’s understanding of their place in the world. Wild tribe allows the children to learn transferable and practical skills, they learn resilience and respect for our environment. Bringing nature into your everyday life can benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing. It can improve mood, self esteem whilst sparking creativity and imagination.

Wild Tribe Lead

I am motivated and passionate about outdoor learning. After gaining my Level 6 Wild Tribe Subject Leaders Award I believe wild tribe gives our children the opportunity to explore and experience our beautiful world and support them to follow their aspirations and be creative, curious learners.
I have undertaken fundraising events raising over £1000 for outdoor learning resources through our summer fete. My long term goal is to transform our outdoor area into an space where any part of the curriculum can be taught and be accessible for all ages.
